“Do this in remembrance of Me.” We hear these well-known words today on this feast of Corpus Christi. But how are we supposed to do this? Because actually, there’s been a lot of controversy about that question of how we’re supposed to do what Jesus is asking us here. And after the Second Vatican Council in the 1960s there were a lot of changes made, and changes, I think a lot of the changes did terrible damage to the liturgy that the Church is suffering, the Church is offering. But that’s in the right that we know better, the Roman Rite. But the Church also recognized in the Catholic Church, there’s over 20 different rites, like the Byzantine rite, the Maronite rite, the Syro-Malabar rite, the Dominican rite, and so forth. So how are we supposed to celebrate it? And so that’s a question that we here at our little Mission of Divine Mercy, are asking, Lord, what do you want us to do? What do you want us to do right now, in this situation we’re in. A number of people have asked us about the traditional Latin Mass, and we’re open to that; there’s so many graces in that. So, we were just wondering, Lord, what do you want us to do. And so, we asked him a number of times, but we just but as our in our new situation, we asked him again, and just shortly after that, Sister received a message, which I think was both a response to our particular question, but it was also a message to all Catholics. And we just published it in Holy Week, so not long ago. The answer in that, it’s like often when we ask the Lord questions, sometimes we don’t get, He doesn’t give us that, like that type of an answer. But oftentimes the answers are not exactly what we’re expecting. Oftentimes he’s taking us to… and I think that’s the case here, He’s taking us to a deeper level, to what He really wants us to focus on. And in this case, it’s the great mystery hidden in this humble Mass that we’re celebrating here, especially, you know, it’s when it’s very hot, like it is right now, it’s even harder. But hidden in this Mass with our sweating humanity is an infinite mystery. And it’s easy to forget about the infinite mystery because it’s so hidden, but it’s important for us to realize what is our role in that. And right now, as we’re just praying about this great conflict that our country is involved in in the Middle East, it’s ever more important that we realize that it’s hidden here in this holy sacrifice, which is the real, as Mother Magdelene was quoting that passage from St John Paul, the only solution to all the problems, all the deep problems of our world. And so, I wanted to share with you today, that message. We already published it a couple of months ago, as I said, during Holy Week. So, I won’t read the whole message. I’ll have to omit parts because of, because of time constraints. You didn’t think I was attentive to time constraints, but there are still some time constraints, but it’s still a rather long, but I think, very important message. And so, see if you can think how the Lord is both, also responding to the question that we’re asking about what we’re supposed to do here at this little mission, because we’ll see, see if you can realize what He’s saying. So, it begins with our Blessed Mother. “My children, my little ones, my soldiers. Take a moment in silence with me, in the silence of contemplation and adoration.” And so, let’s do that right now. I invite you to close your eyes for a moment of silent adoration and contemplation, and as I read the next few passages, if you want, you can keep your eyes closed for this special time of reflection. “Kneel down in your spirit, prostrate with me before the divine mystery, laying aside your thinking, your wanting, your doing, in order to be clothed through faith, humility and obedience with the thinking, willing and acting of God. Come children and in the silence of love, adore with Me the Lamb who was slain, my lamb, my Jesus, incarnate in my womb by divine action before whom all creatures in heaven and on earth and under the earth must prostrate. Silence children before your God, before Your Father, who speaks to you, who loves you.” So that’s something very unusual in this message. I think it’s the first message where we had that with our Blessed Mother asking us to take this special time of silence to be able to receive what the Lord is going to say, and I can’t extend the silence too long today, but I would invite you to go back and read this message. And there you can take as much silence as you want. And then, then there’s a then it’s God, the Father, who speaks and expressing His love and also, again, asking for our silence. It makes me think of when Moses found the burning bush, and the Father told him to – God, told him to take off his sandals because he was on holy ground. And so, the Lord is inviting us to this silence of adoration and contemplation. And so, it’s only after that special solemn introduction that He says, “children, the Most Holy Sacrifice of the altar is in danger, in the greatest danger. Do you know what the danger is? The greatest attack.” So think, do you know what the danger is? What is the greatest danger, He says of the Mass today? He says, “it is not the blasphemies, nor heresies nor all the attempts to profane it. It is the lack of faith and the contamination of reason. This children, is what destroys the great mystery in your souls, what renders it ineffective in its human part.” Notice what He says, “Nothing can destroy the great mystery in itself, but it can be destroyed in our souls.” As He says, “it can be ineffective in our human part.” “It in itself is all powerful, but its ability to act in us also depends on our response.” So, then He goes on. He says, “it is an extremely subtle attack that you have been unable to understand, or you understand only partially, extremely subtle.” And so, the danger is that we think that we understand well because of our intelligence, because of our learning, because of our holiness, and so we don’t. And then He says, “What is the Holy Mass?” A good question. You know, we’ve been coming to Mass many, many, many times, right? What is the Holy Mass? And then He continues. So, think about what you would say if someone asked you, what is the Holy Mass? And so, He says, “the most perfect offering of my Jesus,” the most perfect offering of my Jesus, “who taking on immaculate flesh, humbling Himself, completely obeying Me in everything, bearing with everything, out of love for you and for Me, takes upon Himself all the hatred and mockery of satan, paying with His most pure and precious blood your redemption from the slavery of sin. It is the mystery of the Divine Word made flesh to give you My love, My word, My teachings, My will, to teach you how to live and how to die,.The mystery of the eternal love made flesh who dies in the midst of pain and abandonment In order to gather My children in My heart once more. There are no words children that could communicate to you in your present condition, all that is contained in what My Jesus has done for you, out of love for Me, the offering par excellence, the great jewel beyond all price. Each Mass that is offered, that you offer is nothing other than union with this offering.” So, the Mass that we’re offering right now is that union with the offering of our Lord Jesus. “It is not a banquet, it is not a party, it is not a gathering.” And here Sister added an important footnote expressing it. She says that there is an authentic sense in which we can speak of the Mass as a banquet, a gathering, and she gives citations from the Catechism. But as she says, the essence, the foundation, the source, is the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. And she says, the problem is not with the words themselves, nor their true meaning, but rather the way that they have been used and manipulated to change and lessen faith in the Holy Mass. So that was helpful, that was a part of that footnote. “It is the offering of My Jesus that is made present so that each of you can unite in faith and in truth, your own offering and offer to Me, together with My Jesus, your adoration, your obedience, your love, accepting in justice what I send to you, what I ask of you.” So that’s what our part is in this Mass today, and especially it’s in the moment of the offertory, as he says, to offer our faith in truth, our offering with our adoration, our obedience, our love. And He says, “accepting in justice, what I send you, what I ask of you,” all the sacrifices that the Lord is asking. And some of us may have very heavy sacrifices, but when we offer them to the Lord, they are the most valuable of these offerings, the most powerful. “It is to enter for one instant into the divine mystery and to participate in the love between My Jesus and Me.” So, to enter for an instant into the love between Jesus and His Father. “How can something so immense be contained in a human action? Impossible, except through faith. Do you see children? Why, then, the attack that can destroy,” in quotation marks, “the Holy Mass is an attack on faith. That is why I insist on faith, on the need for a simple and humble faith in order to receive My light, My mysteries, and let them bear fruit in you. The essence of the Most Holy Sacrifice of the altar of the Holy Mass, is what My Jesus did and said.” The essence of the Mass is in what Jesus Himself said and did. ”His words and actions in that hour. Do you understand beyond the gestures and the rites and the practices, what did My Jesus do and say? This is the essence, the jewel. The rites are like the different rings in which this jewel is placed, in order to be taken before the world and be presented before My throne.” So remember, I mentioned that there’s all these different, there’s the Roman Rite, which is the principal one, but there’s also a number of other traditional rites in the Catholic Church. So, He says there’s different rites, but He says “the jewel is eternal, unfading, indestructible. No attack can destroy it. No attack can destroy the offering that Jesus made to the Father. Reflect, then children on what this ring that surrounds such a jewel should be.” So again, the jewel is the sacrifice of Jesus, what He’s calling the ring, He’s comparing it to a ring, Is that the metal that you know, the metal that holds the jewel, is He’s comparing the different rites to the ring. “What is the purpose of the ring? To manifest the beauty and the value of the jewel and to protect it, the ring must be made of precious and resistant material capable of withstanding, blows, scratches, dirt, heat and cold. It is not the ring that gives value to the jewel, but rather the jewel that makes the ring useful. The ring without the jewel is nothing more than a piece of metal. Children be on guard. Do not lose sight of the jewel distracted by the ring. How many modifications and additions have been made to the rings with the passing of time, some with good intention, some out of ignorance, and others through malice and pride.” Some with good intentions, some out of ignorance, and others with malice and pride. And I think that many of the changes that were made after Vatican II a lot of them were not mandated by the council, but the persons involved, some of them, it seems, were Masons. I believe there was malice and pride and many sad examples of that in recent decades. “Do you wish to know which is the perfect ring?” Which is the perfect ring? “The perfect ring is the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the pearl of God, the joy of heaven. No one has been present as she has, united to the offering as she has, guarded this jewel as she has. That is why My priest, sons, if you wish to offer the Holy Mass worthily, you must be united to her heart.” So, the image of Our Blessed Mother is always a reminder of that. “My children, all, I show you the essence how I see so that you do not become distracted and become prey to the reasonings that are so easily manipulated by the enemy. Look at the essence children. Contemplate it, love it, and only in this way will you be able to offer me the Most Holy Sacrifice of My Jesus, and only in this way will His sacrifice be able to produce the fullness of its fruit.” So, He’s saying that we need faith so that we can participate in the offering of Jesus to the Father. That’s what that special moment when the priest raises the consecrated bread and wine, the Body and Blood of our Lord, and says, “Through him, with him, and in Him,” through Jesus, with Jesus, and in Jesus, to you Almighty Father. So, it’s expressing that we’re offering this with Jesus. And so, the only way to offer it with Jesus and to permit its fruits to flow in us and through us, is by faith in this essence. He continues, “My children, it is not possible to fully appreciate nor understand here on earth this great mystery of love, of mercy and of justice. But I show you what you need in order to be able to unite yourselves to this mystery, to My heart and to live in Me,” to this mystery to My heart. “What do I require from each of you? How do I desire that you offer the Holy Mass?” So that’s the question we were asking. How does He want the Mission of Divine Mercy to offer the Mass? But it’s a question that we could all ask, how does the Lord want us to offer this? He says, so he’s going to give the answer, “looking at My Jesus, loving Him and imitating Him, together with Mary most holy, uniting your hearts to theirs, offering yourselves to My love, offering to Me your sorrows and pain and that of your brothers. Offering yourselves with My Jesus as an offering of love, obedience and reparation.” So that’s how he wants us to offer. “This is the offering that pleases Me, children, in the same way that I see you beyond appearances. So, I desire that you see this mystery as well,” that as we look beyond appearances. “Children remember that I will renew everything, even the imperfect rings that hold the jewel without price. Yes, children, some rings are in better condition than others. They are made of better materials.” And I think a good example is that the traditional Latin Mass, I think, is made of better materials, better condition than the Novus Ordo. “But all children have been contaminated by reason and the lack of faith. That is why I say to you, look at the jewel. Look at the essence. Do not be confused. What I need in this hour from you children, are not perfect rings, but rather perfect faith.” That’s extremely important. What I need from you in this hour are not perfect rings, but perfect faith. “Absolute trust, love without fear that you give Me what is rightfully Mine, your adoration, your trust, your filial love, faith, humility and obedience. The rest children, I do. I accomplish it in you, through you and with your cooperation, but it is I who accomplish it.” So for me, that’s very consoling, because I’m certainly not a perfect example of the perfect ring, as He says, the perfect rite. Our little Mission of Divine Mercy is very poor, imperfect. But He says, what He’s asking of us is not the perfect ring, that is the perfect rite, but perfect faith, absolute trust. So, I won’t read you all the conclusion that the Father and then our Blessed Mother does. I invite you to read it for yourselves. And if you’ve read it, re-read it. And when you’ve re-read it, re-read it again. Pray with it. See what stands out to you, take time to meditate on it. There’s so much light in this. But as our Blessed Mother said, we need to be quiet. We need to make silence so that we can hear all the depth of mystery, of divine grace, grace that is in these. So, I don’t want to make this homily longer, but we hope to gradually begin to be making some small changes in our celebration. Here, some improvements, I think, in a more traditional sense, go in the sense of greater silence, faith, adoration, love for the most holy sacrifice, what He’s speaking of. A lot of these things are things we’ve been wanting to do for quite some time, but especially now, with all the controversy in the Church and all the controversy that we here are involved in we don’t want to make changes too quickly to not be too difficult. But our Blessed Mother, in this message, said, “My little children, gather these words into your heart and together with me, welcome them.” That’s very important – to welcome God’s words. How many times do people say, I wish God would just tell us what He wants? Have you ever said that? I wish God would just tell me what He wants me to do? What’s He doing here. He’s telling us what He wants us, I mean, if you believe these messages, I believe that they’re from the Lord. I believe that, because of the great crisis that we’re in, He and His great mercy is continuing like He spoke to St Faustina, like He’s spoken many times. He’s continuing to tell us what He wants us to do, especially in this time. But He can tell us, but it depends on each one of us to listen, to make silence and listen to these words, which are very simple. Like the words of the gospel, many people believe the greatest of all, of all of Sacred Scripture is the Gospel of St John. But the Gospel of St John is so simple, the language is so simple. Behind that simple language is so much infinite mystery. And there’s so much grace and light that the Lord is giving here for these times, but each one of us has to make the decision to humbly set aside our ideas, our criteria, and listen to Him. “Gather these words into your heart, and together with me, welcome them and with me, adore the Father, my Jesus and the divine love for their love for their little ones.” And I’m just going to end with this prayer that was given during this message. And so, if you want, you could close your eyes and unite yourself to this prayer. “Most holy God, Father Son and most Holy Spirit of God. We love you; we adore you, we accept your will, your desires. May it be done unto us according to your word. May the luminous faith that you so love, reign in us. Blessed may You be, Lord our God in heaven and on earth and for all ages.” Amen.
