I Come To Do Your Will

The Letter to the Hebrews says, “When Christ came into the world,” he said what, at that transcendent moment when Christ came into the world? He said, it quotes the psalm that we have today, “sacrifice or offering you wish not but ears open to obedience you gave me. Holocaust or sin, offerings you sought not. Then I said, “Behold, I come, and the written scroll is prescribed for me to do your will.” And that’s the key passage, “to do your will, O my God is my delight, and your law is written within my heart.” And the psalm refrain summarizes that by the phrase, “here I am, Lord. I come to do Your will,” and that’s why the psalm says that “ears open to obedience you gave me,” “ears open to obedience you gave me.” That is a spirit that is listening to God, listening, open, docile, obedient to God. And that continues to bear fruit through his life. And it’s beautiful in Maria Valtorta’s account of the Nativity, right at the birth of Jesus, our Blessed Mother, with St Joseph, takes Jesus in her arms and offers Him to the Father, citing from that psalm that speaking in the name of Jesus, that they are there to do God’s will, to dedicate their whole lives and dedicate the life of Jesus to doing God’s will. So, what is God’s will? Isaiah gets a message announcing the servant who will bring about these immense designs of God; so as the Lord says, “that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth, by the sacrifice of the servant.” And so, God speaks to Isaiah, the prophet, to give these words announcing this great event. And John the Baptist announces, this great prophet John the Baptist announces that the time has finally come, that He is here right now in our midst. “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.” And John says, I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize, what is happening right there in their midst, that Jesus, the Christ, is their present. And St Paul also speaks of the special grace that he received. He says, Paul called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, by the will of God, and so he received the divine grace that transformed him and helped him go way beyond his previous human understanding, to realize that this Jesus, Christ truly was the son. And so, these are examples of special lights from heaven that God gave, these prophetic lights to realize His special will for certain times. And all of that has led through God’s designs to the time that we’re living right now, these mysterious times that we’re living, where the evil and the deception is so terrible, but even greater than that, greater than the evil, are God’s designs. And so,the question, the very important question for all of us is, how can we cooperate with the special designs of God for our times in this battle and this reconquest? How can you and I cooperate in that and so we don’t just get in the way. There’s a lot of people today who are pretty much useless for God’s designs. They’re not doing anything to advance Him, and there’s a lot of other people who are even getting in the way and opposing them. And probably we’ve been in some of those camps in our own life; but how can we be cooperating in God’s mysterious designs for these times? And so, this passage from Psalm is very helpful. “Ears open through obedience you gave me.” I think there’s a different translation, the Hebrew says, “you dug ears for me.” You dug ears I kind of excavated beyond all our stubbornness and obstinacy, “you dug ears for me. You made me capable of listening. Here I am, Lord. I come to do Your will.” So, would it be nice if God told us what His will, His special will, was for these days, for our confusing time? So much, even in the Church, there’s so much confusion.  It would be pretty helpful if God would tell us what He wants us to do. And for that I want to cite a message. This is one of the reconquest messages that we’ve already published. This was given in 2024 on May 13, which is the end of the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. And it seemed to me especially appropriate for this topic today, of the will of God for us today. And you know that we haven’t, sister hasn’t received messages now for several months, and perhaps one reason for that is to give us time to go back and review the messages. Because there’s a danger when we hear of a prophetic message of just reading it for curiosity to see what happens. What does it say about what’s going to happen? Instead of reading it to find out, what is God asking me to do now? Because that’s what the prophetic messages are really telling us, what God wants us to do. And I think the messages are very, the messages are kind of deceptively simple. The words are very simple, and so we can just say, oh, that’s just stuff that we’ve already heard many times. But there’s so much depth in these messages; so, it’s good to use this time in which there’s not new messages coming out to go back and review the messages that he’s already given us, to meditate on them, to go through them slowly and meditate on them. And so, I want to focus on this message today. It would be good to read the whole thing, but we don’t that would take more time, and we’ve already published it, so you can go back and read the whole thing. So, I’m going to omit certain parts, but it’s a message from our Blessed Mother, inviting us to take refuge in her. And one of the key points it’s talking about is how there’s the general designs of God, but then there’s also His specific designs for each time, for each time in human history. And so, the question is, what is His special design for these times that we’re living right now? For instance, it was different for the people who were waiting for the Messiah to come. Then for those who are living while Jesus was preaching, then for those who are living like St Paul after He had already after He had already ascended back into heaven and so forth. And the challenges that the Church has faced in different centuries has been different. And so, what is the challenge that what is God’s will for us today, for the Church today? And that’s why it’s very helpful to have these messages. And that’s one of the points He’s going to insist on. One more thing I want to say to introduce this. This came out just four days before a Vatican document. The Vatican document was called “Norms for Proceeding in the Discernment of Alleged Supernatural Phenomena.” Norms for proceeding in the discernment of alleged supernatural phenomena. Well, there was, there was already a document about that, about discerning alleged supernatural phenomena that had come out under Paul the sixth, but this was a new document that came out under Francis. And I think it’s a good example of the attitude and so much of the hierarchy today of not either not knowing how or not wanting to respond to what God is saying. And so Sister of course, didn’t know that this document was coming out, but it seems to me that this was like a response from heaven given in advance to this document that was coming out. Because I say, I think this document is an example of the resistance in the Church today, often to what God is trying to say. So, here’s passages from that message from our Blessed Mother. “I wish to speak to you today, on the anniversary of my first apparition to my little ones at Fatima. Children do not set my words aside. Do not set my words aside. Not these, nor any of the words that I have spoken to you throughout the centuries, words that have come forth from my Immaculate Heart, from the heart of your mother, to help you, to guide you, to correct you, to warn you. If I speak I do not do so of my own accord. I speak the Father’s will for you. I speak my son’s love for you. I speak the Divine Light shed upon you by the Most Holy Spirit of God. If you turn a deaf ear to my voice, you are turning a deaf ear to the voice of the Most Holy Trinity, who never ceases to speak to communicate with His children,” who never ceases to speak.  God never ceases to speak. God didn’t stop speaking 2000 years ago, and even the Catechism, this is catechism, paragraph 79 it says, “the father’s self-communication made through His Word in the Holy Spirit, remains present and active in the Church. God, who spoke in the past, continues to converse with the spouse of His beloved Son, the Church,”  – continues to converse. So, the Catechism is saying, what this message is saying, God continues to speak. “Blessed are they who setting aside their own criteria, allow me to form them. “Setting aside our own criteria, “allow me to form them according to the Divine Will.” Not our will, not the opinions of the world, but God’s will, the divine will “and for the work for which each soul was created.” So, I think she’s pointing out that each soul has not only got special will for the world, for the Church today, but there’s the special part that each one of us are called to play. Each one of us has our special role. And as we get older, and I’m 65 now, as we get older, we realize how fast this life goes by. And we don’t want to waste it by doing stuff that wasn’t what we were called to do, and special needs for our time, but your special role. “Come to your mother and allow me to remove all the cobwebs of so many useless reasonings, so many harmful and prideful thoughts, so many lies that the enemy has woven around you.” How can you see clearly if your eyes are still covered and so become an obstacle? A little bit later, she says, “that you might recognize the signs we are giving you for these times, that you might see and recognize the unfolding of the Father’s perfect plan, and humbly receive the grace you need in order to take your place in my Army for the accomplishment of this plan. My children, open your eyes. But above all, open your hearts through true docility, humility and trust that the light of the Most Holy Spirit of God might enlighten you being able to see; and being able to see you might be able to cooperate in His work. My children, the Father’s plan is active everywhere and at all times, helping to bring about the eternal good for all His children. Who can limit His action? Who can say God would never do that?” Because that’s exactly what these documents are saying, the Vatican documents. Oh, God wouldn’t do that. So who can say God would never do that? “Who from such a limited, darkened heart, who dares to say to Him, You cannot do this? Nobody, not even a pastor of the Church, can say to God, you cannot do this. God is sovereign. He can do whatever he chooses to do. My children. My children, silence, silence before the mystery of God, the loving and trusting silence that is the filial act of adoration to the Father, recognizing that He is your God and you are His creature, His child, willed into existence by Him. Silence before His perfect will. That is the perfect act of obedience that does not question, that does not doubt, that says, God knows why? The thrice holy silence that humbles the soul, that beautifies it and makes it capable of receiving the divine light, the silence my children that is born of true living, simple faith. My beloved children, consider all the times that I have been sent to you to warn you and to bring You the light of God to see the reality surrounding you as God sees it. How many times children and how little have I been heeded, ignored and even mocked by the arrogance of so many of my blinded children, thus blocking torrents of grace that would have descended from heaven to help my children.” Think of that torrents of grace that God wanted to pour upon our world that have been blocked by lacks of faith. And unfortunately, that’s the responsibility of a lot of pastors of the Church, not just the pastors, the faithful, but the pastors bear most responsibility. How many torrents of grace have been blocked? She goes on, “actions have consequences, my children, and the setting aside the despising of our gifts has tremendous consequences, not only for the souls who reject them, but for the whole world. Have you not yet understood that each time a soul rejects our grace, it affects all of our children? And each time one soul responds to our grace, obeys the will of the Father who can pour forth rivers of grace upon all of our children. Do you see how important then, is your receiving or not receiving, our gifts, our grace. My beloved army, do you begin to understand now what it is that I need from you in order to lead you into battle? Do you understand how it is that you fight? How it is that you help me reconquer the hearts of your brothers and sisters? It is through faith, living childlike faith, childlike, not sophisticated, arrogant, childlike faith. And through your abandonment to the Father’s perfect will, and you begin to understand too then when what the greatest obstacle is to our plan, the horrendous lack of faith that produces contempt for our things, our words, our actions, and that is born out of the seed of pride, planted by the enemy and fed by arrogance and fear. And how this seed of pride has fallen into so many of the souls of my priests and consecrated children and found fertile soil, turning these souls into unrecognizable brambles, brambles of thorns and bitter fruit, useless, completely useless for our plan. Do you understand now, why then the fire that will come down from heaven is needed to consume all these brambles and free my children from the corruption of pride? My children, that is why I ask you to come to me, to enter the refuge of my heart, to humble your heart and your mind before the divine mysteries, and to let me cleanse your eyes and hearts that you may be able to receive the fullness of the light of the Most Holy Spirit of God, and you might see as He does, and being able to see you might cooperate with His plan. My children, I have said to you that His plan stretches from the beginning to the end of time, from one end of the earth to the other. Consider, then that all our works cannot be contained or limited by any human consideration or reasoning.” And then here I’m going to I’ll just summarize this passage. She speaks of a number, though she mentions a number of apparitions, and how much the people who received those apparitions have suffered from those who should have been their greatest help, priests and consecrated souls. And remember, this was given four days before that Vatican document. “Do you not see that it is my voice that speaks to them across the ages, that this voice contains the voice of the Most Blessed Trinity, that this voice is love and mercy, and that if you were attentive to it, you would perceive the divine mystery of God at work in that moment, in that place for you for the accomplishment of the Father’s will at that moment. Every divine action has eternal effects, it can never be limited to one time. Its effects are felt. That continued to produce is given at a precise time for a precise reason my children and should be received by you as such as help sent you at that moment. My children, if the Father sends His gifts His actions, will He not also send His light that you might know that it is He who is acting? If you are united to Him by grace, by your faith and humility, if you know His voice, His heart, shall you not recognize His voice and His action?  In recognizing the Father shall you not also be given light to recognize the deceits of the ancient serpent, the eternal ape who, in his pride, mocks all the works of God. Come to me, my little ones, if you wish to know the Father’s heart, if you wish to recognize His voice, whether He speaks in silence, in action, or through His messengers. My little ones, the Father’s plan is at work. Do not fear. Do not despair. My army is being gathered, I am uniting you day by day, continuing to form you, to show you what it is that we need of you, how you cooperate in our reconquest. At each of my visits, I have asked for what was needed as a response from my children and my Church at that time to allow the Father’s plan to be fulfilled.” At that time to prevent unnecessary suffering, the suffering that is necessary, but there’s so much suffering that is not necessary that God never willed, but that we cause by not listening to Him. So the message goes on. “What I ask of you now, what is needed of you now, is your faith, trust, abandonment and humility, the true silence of the attentive heart ready to receive the order of His captain in order to fight in the great reconquest. How can you act and fight if you do not know what you are being asked to do? And how can you know what is being asked, what the order is, if you are not attentive to your captain’s voice. And how can you hear your captain’s voice, if you do not silence your thoughts, your own voice, your criteria, your will. And how can you silence your mind,will and heart if you do not believe? My children, what I ask of you is your faith, your humility, your obedience, your trust.” So, this is leading us to the conclusion. “Come children, Let us bow down together before the Father of mercy, before He who is and with me, offer Him your love, your adoration, and together with me, say,” and then she gives this short act, “Father, may Your will be accomplished in me and in all of your creatures. Here I am Lord, to do your will, to love you and serve you for all eternity.” And so, in conclusion, what I invite you is, if you’d like to give you the opportunity to make this act silently in your own heart. So, I’ll read this just I’ll read this just phrase by phrase, and again, interiorly, silently if you want, you can make this act also right now. So, if you want, you can close your eyes, Father, may Your will be accomplished in me – And in all of your creatures – Here I am, Lord – to do your will, to love you and serve you for all eternity. Amen
