Archdiocese Information

MDM was formed in the Archdiocese of San Antonio in 2001 under Archbishop Flores and has received the blessing and approval of subsequent Archbishops.  Below are documents and correspondence that mark significant milestones in this relationship.

November 10, 2005 –Archbishop Jose Gomez: Acknowledgement of MDM
“As Archbishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, I pray that Mission la Divina Misericordia will provide that sanctuary, that quiet place, for people who seek the will of God in their lives.”

April 28, 2010 – Archbishop Jose Gomez: Confirmation of Fr. John Mary’s Incardination into the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
“Thus, as of November 22, 2009, I am confirming your incardination into the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas.  Congratulations.”

May 7, 2010 – Bishop Benoit Rivière of Autun, France: Acknowledgement of Fr. John Mary’s Release from the Congrégation Saint-Jean and Incardination by San Antonio.

May, 19, 2010 – Archbishop Gomez: Letter Acknowledging Official Approval of MDM Statutes
“On the occasion of my official approval of the Mission of Divine Mercy’s statutes, I commend them for their efforts and heartily encourage them in their vocation.”

May 19, 2010: Official Decree of Approval
“By this decree establish and erect the private juridic person of the “Mission of Divine Mercy” to carry out the mission outlined in the aforesaid constitutions…”

February 24, 2011—Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller: Acknowledgement of MDM
“I ask God’s blessing for the Mission of Divine Mercy and all those who are helping to develop Misión La Divina Misericordia so that it can be ever more a place where many can experience God’s Mercy.”

March 2, 2015 –Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller: Acknowledgement of the Dedication of the O’Callaghan Divine Mercy Center.
