This is a special three-part Message, “Rest for Your Soul,” that the Lord dictated to Sister Amapola in August of 2017 as a retreat for the Mission staff. We encourage you to wait until you have some quiet time during which you can read through it peacefully. Approach it as your personal retreat, directed by God.
August 15th, 2017
Jesus. Early morning.
INTRODUCTION
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest – rest for your souls.[1]
My little children, you do not know how much I love you and how I long to spend time with you – when our hearts can speak to each other and we can rest one in the other.
Yes, little ones, I rest in you. I come and lay My head on your heart, happy to find love, and faith, and obedience; happy to find My children.[2]
In the world and in this life, there is so much work to do, so much weariness, so much exhaustion. So much exhaustion of your souls because of suffering, of the different trials of faith and obedience, of the requirements of charity, and of so many other struggles that you constantly live in order to be faithful to Me.
I created My children free of all of these things – I gave them the sovereign freedom of being My children, children of the Great King. But sin and the hatred of Satan has deprived My children of this freedom.
My little ones, it is this freedom that I invite you to live now – that I offer to you; and that just as My Mercy is gathered by one vessel only – trust, as I told My little Faustina – so this freedom is only attained through the simple and childlike Faith. It is written with a capital “F,” little ones, to make you aware of its importance and life-giving quality, as opposed to the “usual” faith that is more common, but lesser.[3]
I am training you in the receiving and living of this Great Faith, the living and sovereign Faith of My true children.
I want it to shine in you as a precious Jewel; to well up in you as a life-giving spring; to burn in you with the Fire of My Love.
What I ask of you, My children, My beloved little ones, My faithful ones, is Faith. Only this absolute, undying Faith in My Love for you: in Me; in what I have said to you; in what I have promised you.
My little ones, I need this Faith in you so that you can be truly and entirely Free to be at My disposal – to serve Me in these Great Hours that are approaching. That are already upon us.
In order to be My instruments, I need you to be Free by means of Faith.
Be little with Me [smile], full of trust like a little child, who not knowing how to do what the Father asks, in all simplicity tells Him: “Father, I do not know how to do what you ask, but I want to do it [smile], help me, for I am little, too little and poor….”[4]
I cannot resist this prayer [smile], and I come and I teach you [smile], and I carry you in My arms. [smile]
Offer to Me your desires to live Faith and receive My Freedom, and I will do the rest.
My children, do you see that by doing this you [already] begin to live in Freedom? [smile]
During these three days that I have asked you for, I want you to reflect on this – on the freedom that comes through Faith.
FIRST DAY
My little ones, on this day I want you to reflect with Me on the different things that hold your thoughts “captive” with regard to our relationship.
What are the things that seem to impede our closer union?
Fears, sensing your unworthiness, perfectionism, arrogance, pride– everything that puts a barrier between My thoughts and yours.
It may feel like an avalanche of things, little ones [smile]; I understand – and I want to relieve you of that weight.
Imagine My Heart, children, as a huge bonfire. Now come and toss all those thoughts and attitudes into the fire. All of them.
The Fire of Love of My Heart is such that it can consume it all. [smile]
Satan wishes to bind you to himself, to sin, to death, to despair, with a triple chain: the chain that binds your thoughts, your mind; the chain that binds your emotions; the chain that binds your heart, your soul.
And I ask you to draw close to My Heart and let Me melt off those chains with the ever-growing Fire of Love.
Yes, little ones, what I say can sound like it is something “nice”
and “up in the clouds” [smile], but in reality what I ask you to do is very practical and concrete. [smile]
Spend this day with Me, close to Me, and consciously bring to Me your mind, your thoughts, that I may sift through them, consume them, purify them, and break all chains that the enemy has used to pull you away from Me.
You are surrounded by Our Love, do not forget that, little children of My Heart.

My little one, let us continue writing for our Staff, our beloved Team.
SECOND DAY
My children, how happy I am to spend this time with you, and how much I am able to do in your souls, even in this brief time. [smile] Let this encourage you. [smile]
Today, My little ones, I wish us to spend it in company with the Most Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Love and of Union, the One Who unites the Mystery of God – the Persons of the Most Blessed Trinity. And Who unites you to Us. The Bond of Love.
The true Divine Love that proceeding from the Heart of the Father fills and envelops all that is created; and gives life and joy to all. This Divine Love, that is the flame at the center of your souls, and that I want it to blaze like the furnace of My Heart.
How little this Love is understood – and how many other “fires” are lit in the hearts of My children in place of this Holy and Divine Love, all-pure, all-joy.
Today, little ones, let us reflect on those false fires that you may have burning in you and that, burning a “false” or unclean fuel – because it does not come from Me – creates smoke and stench and unhappiness in you; and that cause confusion to your emotions.
Satan is the expert false-fire lighter – he extinguishes My Fire in souls through sin and pride. He offers the different false fuels of empty promises of happiness, of success, of love, of pleasure, and then convinces you to light these fires that you may be confused by their smoke and thus he can lead you astray more easily.
Ask My Holy Spirit to come and enlighten you, and show you the pure flame of Divine Love, of Our Love, that you may be able to recognize the true from the false, and letting Him consume all other fires, that only His may reign sovereign in your heart.
The freedom of the senses and emotions can only come by desiring the True and Divine Love that is Ours and that We wish to see burning in you.
Before original sin, the emotions were perfectly ordered and subject to this Divine Love – they originated in Our Love, they were an expression of Our Love.
But now, after the great fall and separation from Us, the emotions have been left vulnerable and weak, tending always downward, away from Me, unless you choose to subject them to Me.
It is hard work to do this, children, I know, for I too lived this battle – I became like you, lived your struggles in all things but sin – [so] that you could always look at Me, and know how to act and live. So that you remember, and are not afraid to come to Me in your weakness, because I understand.
How do you subject your emotions, feelings, to Me?
First, you ask My Holy Spirit to help you see what fuels your emotions and feelings right now – and beg Him to show you His Love so that you can compare and, like an expert jeweler, discard all false “jewels” that have a beautiful appearance but are in reality false.
And as on the First Day [of this retreat], bring them to Me and let Me consume them in the Fire of Love, that only My Love may burn in you, the pure and holy Love that illuminates and fills everything with its fragrance of Heaven.
Then, My children, give Me your feelings and emotions and let ME put them in their proper place and order.
Your cooperation is your faith and your docility to My Will.
When you give Me, entrust to Me, your feelings and emotions, then I can put My Seal upon them and guard them.
My little ones, you in turn will help many to see many of the false “gods” that they have made of feelings and emotions, and will be able to show them how to get rid of them and receive My Love, My teaching, My Truth.
Do not worry if you do not understand – just try to do what I ask of you, as best you can. That is all. The rest, I will do, in the hiddenness and darkness of faith.
How much I love you!
By giving Me your emotions and feelings you will be free from the tyranny that Satan inflicts on you through these.
The freedom of the mind through Faith; the freedom of the feelings – emotions – through Truth.
“The Truth shall set you free.”[5]
My beloved ones, I Am the Truth and I wish to set you free.
Come and drink the pure and copious waters of Truth that come forth from My Heart and that My Holy Spirit wishes to raise up in you as well. Living fountains of Truth for My famished children.
I bless you, My beloved children. To each I will give light during these days, in order for you to understand more fully My designs in these times.

God the Father.
My little one, let us continue.
THIRD DAY
My beloved little children, children of My Heart:
Today it is I, the Father, your Abba, Who speaks to you and Who invites you to spend the day with Me.
Very few think of Me and fewer still give Me their time. They forget that as a Father, the One and True Father, My Heart is especially sensitive to the love of My children.
Little ones, how fettered down I see all of My children – fettered down with their own ideas of Who I am, of what is pleasing to Me, of what it means to be Mine.
I want you to be free of that – to have the full freedom of My children, who love Me simply as a Father is loved.
Sin, and suffering caused by sin, has marred the Image of Fatherhood as I want it, as it is in Me and as I wish to share it with My children.
How much pain you have had to bear because these relationships between you and your earthly fathers have been damaged and wounded by sin and the hatred of My enemy – our enemy.
This is why, little ones, I wish you to know Me, to love Me, to let Me heal you in this relationship with Me as My children, that your hearts may be free to soar up to Me and receive My full embrace of love.
My children, I Am God. And I Am your Father. I Am simple [smile], and created you to be simple too[6] – hearts capable of receiving My Love and of loving Me in return.
Everything, children, is reduced to this. Everything I have done and will do has had this purpose, this intention in mind: to give My Love to My children and for My children to love Me and know Me.
After original sin, how many veils descended with the shadows of sin and fallen humanity. Your ability to see Me clearly was damaged and diminished to a minimum. And how My enemy has rejoiced over this – over all the distortions he has caused in the Image you see of Me.
For centuries, children, My little ones, I have been healing, restoring, unveiling, illuminating your Image of Me – with the different outpourings of My Grace making you more and more capable of receiving My Light.
When one’s sight has been wounded, it cannot bear the full light – it must be accustomed to it little by little.
My Jesus came to restore you to My Grace and to My embrace, and to give you a visible, living, breathing example of what it means to be My children.
His Words are simple, true, and with unsoundable depths of Grace, of Mystery, of Love.
How did He act with Me? How did He speak to Me?
With love and simplicity; with a complete trust and absolute obedience.
This is how I want you to love Me, to know Me – as My littlest children – letting Me carry you close to My Heart; and letting Me speak words of tenderness to your ear; and letting Me show you My wonders, as a Father shows His child all the beauty He has created for him.
Give Me this Joy, little ones. [smile]
And you will have the full freedom – the sovereign, holy, Royal freedom of My true children.
Come close to Me today, and let Me teach you Who I truly Am; how much I love you; how happy you make Me with little things – how simple it is to be with Me.
Let Me free your hearts, I need them. [smile]
Then, together, We will help so many others to also know Me and restore the Image of My Fatherhood in the hearts of all My children.

A Comment
When transcribing and proofing the Messages for publication, we often run across the situation where a phrase or paragraph seems to have “curious” grammar or certain choice of words that are not what we are used to. The instinct is to “correct” them in order to make them easier to understand.
However, we think it is essential to leave everything as it was dictated in the original language, apparent glaring grammatical errors notwithstanding. On occasion we add a word or words in brackets [ ] when it seems that that word will help the reader understand the intended meaning better. We do correct the spelling mistakes I make when writing down what is dictated, as well as add or remove punctuation marks in order to ensure that the meaning the Lord intended is conveyed. The punctuation marks are not dictated, I add them (and others proof them) to indicate the phrasing He used, but even here the use can be unconventional.
At times certain words are capitalized in one paragraph and then not in the following one. The capitalization of certain words always seems to convey that a certain emphasis is being placed on that word or what that word communicates in that particular writing or phrase, and it is in response to how the word was said.
When the translation is made, we try to keep it as literal as possible, which can be a challenge when the original has curious phrasing to begin with.
It would be natural to think that the Lord, being Perfect, would dictate with perfect grammar. However, it seems to me that the fact that He often doesn’t has a purpose and is in itself a teaching.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation, are of course important in making language understandable and more uniform. But these can change over time. The spelling of words changes, grammatical rules change, even the meaning of words change.
I think the Lord is helping us to not worry too much about the particulars of each language, but instead be open to what He wishes to communicate through the words, however curiously said they may be. I wish I could communicate what I sense when receiving the Messages – the immensity behind each word, the vastness of meaning, of the Love that is behind each phrase. It does not mean that I can understand it, I only sense it. “I don’t know exactly what it is, but there is something REALLY BIG here…”
I hope this is helpful when reading the Messages and encountering some of the curious choice of words or of phrasing.
