MISSION OF DIVINE MERCY
MISSION OF DIVINE MERCY
Cor Jesu (Latin for “Heart of Jesus”) is a very simple retreat that offers you an extended time with Jesus through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is the primary activity of the retreat. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from Friday night until Sunday morning. The retreatants will take turns keeping vigil before the Blessed Sacrament around the clock. Each retreating will be personally responsible for 4-5 hours of adoration during the retreat. The rest of the time you will be free to hike, read, pray, adore, or rest as you discern.
THIS RETREAT IS
During this retreat Jesus, our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, must never be left alone. It is your responsibility and privilege to spend this time with Him. For many this will mean being with Jesus in the middle of the night.
If you did not sleep well on the EWJ, you probably will sleep worse on this retreat. All retreatants must sleep in the dormitory.
A signed liability waiver is required for attendance at this retreat. You will be required to fill this out when you arrive at the retreat. Please bring your driver’s license number because the waiver requires it.
This is not for us a business transaction. It is a Christian act of service. And of faith that He will provide. No one will be excluded for lack of money. Thus, our policy is the following:
A NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE OF $40 ($30 FOR STUDENTS) IS REQUIRED WITH REGISTRATION, TO KNOW WHO IS REALLY COMMITTED.
Beyond that, we charge no fee for the Encounter. Once you have experienced the Encounter, we invite you to give a donation as you freely choose to support MDM.
Our Mission relies entirely on donations. There are a lot of expenses in offering this Retreat and sustaining this Mission with its many functions. God bless you for your help.

The Mission is a monastery; it is consecrated ground; it is our Community’s home. We welcome anyone who wants to visit the Mission. We simply ask that they respect our request for clothing that is appropriate for a place consecrated to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother, and in coming to Mass that they dress in a manner that shows reverence for the occasion. Father wears his vestments, the altar servers put on their albs, and the congregation wears clothes that are appropriate for attending Mass.
BELOW THE KNEE
NO TANK TOPS
NO LOW-CUT NECKLINES
NO MID-THIGH HEMLINES
Also, be alerted that the Mission terrain is fairly rough and rocky, with few paved walk ways. Good walking shoes are helpful; high heels are not. We appreciate your help in making others aware of our request for appropriate dress while attending Mass at the Mission.
We think Our Lord appreciates it too.
